Chris Armstrong wins Bratach Gorm

Chris Armstrong was the winner of the Bratach Gorm Piobaireachd event and came out as Overall champion at the Scottish Piping Society of London competitions on Saturday 3rd of November.

Chris also won the JB Robertson March contest and was 4th in the London Medallion former winners MSR event. It was a successful day for National Piping Centre staff and students. Roddy MacLeod won the London Medallion and was runner up in the Bratach Gorm, Simon Mckerrell won the Hornpipe and Jig and Margaret Dunn featured strongly in both the MSR and Hornpipe and Jig events. Students Ally Henderson, Jonathon Graham, Chris Gibb and Kirsty McIntyre were all highly placed in their respective events. The full results were:
