The National Piping Centre extends its warmest congratulations to Dr Mike Paterson who has been appointed as Executive Director of the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada..

Since 1997 Mike was responsible for feature writing and general management of The National Piping Centre’s in-house magazine. During that time he was able to build the magazine from an 8 page newsletter entitled “Notes” to its current 52 page format as “Piping Today”.

“We are delighted that Mike has been appointed and that his involvement with the Centre over the years has led to a new and exciting career path for him. Mike has done a wonderful job for us and I am sure he will excel in his new role. We look forward to developing a closer working partnership with the College in the future and wish Mike every success”, said Roddy MacLeod MBE, Principal of The National Piping Centre.
