NYPB Concert Tour

The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland are loading their concert gear onto the bus and heading north to perform two spectacular shows to kick off 2009.

NYPB Inverness 2009On the 4th April the band will be travelling to the famous Eden Court, Inverness where they will be performing their concert titled “Northern Exposure”. This will be the first time since the bands formation that it will perform to the northern communities of Scotland and what better venue to do it in than at the home of the Northern Meeting. Also featuring in the show will be performances by Roddy MacLeod MBE, who is recognised as one of the worlds top solo pipers and is currently the Principal of Piping at The National Piping Centre, and from Breabach, who are one of Scotland’s up and coming celtic bands and previous winners of the Danny Kyle music awards at Celtic Connections 2005.

NYPB Aberdeen 2009On the 18th April the National Youth Pipe Band will again head north to Aberdeen where it will be performing a fantastic show at the Aberdeen Arts Centre. Again following on from the previous success of concerts held in the region the band looks forward to showcasing its talents once again. Also featuring at the show will be performances by the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music and the Buchan Pipe Band Youth.
