Archie Kenneth Quaich Results 2009

 The seventeenth annual competition for amateur piobaireachd players for the Archie Kenneth Quaich was held in the relaxed atmosphere of The Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society’s rooms in Edinburgh on Saturday 7th March 2009.   The Piobaireachd Society sponsors the competition.

There was a good entry of 22 players and the competition was judged by Dr Jack Taylor, President of the Piobaireachd Society, and Mr Roddy MacLeod, Principal of The National Piping Centre.

Edinburgh Knockout

Willie McCallum was the third piper to go through in the Edinburgh Knockout yesterday at the Scots Guards Club in Haymarket. He knocked out Brian Donaldson of Fife. Already through are Kevin McNulty & Cameron Drummond.

The last of the first round knockouts will be held on Sunday 15th March with Angus MacColl & Alastair Dunn going head to head. Starts at 4pm.
