The Gathering 2009, in collaboration with the National Piping Centre, is holding a Kitchen piping competition on the first day of this year’s event, which takes place in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park on Saturday 25th and 26th July.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in performing then now is the time to get in touch! Competitors will be competing for a chance to win a prize of £200 with all entrants receiving a special commemorative medal, and an appearance fee of £50.
The two finalist have been decided for the Edinburgh Knockout. Willie McCallum went through yesterday to the final after knocking out Cameron Drummond and Angus MacColl is the other finalist after knocking out Kevin McNulty.
The Final will take place in the Scots Guards Club, Haymarket on Sunday 24th May at 4pm.
