Armagh Pipers Club has announced details of the 16th William Kennedy Piping Festival which will take place in Armagh from the 12th - 15th November. Highlights include a special concert with Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and friends, which will feature recently composed and arranged work for piano, uilleann pipes and orchestra, and the Armagh debut for Andy Irvine and Donal Lunny’s supergroup Mozaik. » Read more

A few slots still remain in the Piping Live! programme for pipe bands interested in performing at George Square during the Glasgow International Piping Festival. We are looking for bands to play on Tuesday 11th of August and Friday 14th of August. The bands receive a good fee in exchange for playing for 40 minutes in the Square. The performance should be a traditional pipe band performance to include some marching sets as well as medleys. Any bands interested should immediately contact hwilkinson@thepipingcentre.co.uk
The National Piping Centre had been experiencing power and phone problems - but we are pleased to say everything is now back in working order! We appreciate your patience and now everything is back to working order and lunch service will go ahead in the Pipers’ Tryst as normal.
Dr Simon McKerrell will be availble to give lessons at the National Piping Centre between Monday 15th – Friday 26th June. He can give lessons in Highland pipes and also Border and Uillean pipes and the Whistle.
