The Pipes and drums of the London Scottish Regiment celebrate their 150th Anniversary in 2010, one year after the Regiment do. To celebrate the event they are holding a one off Solo Piping Competition.

Ahmed Ali Nasser Al Rashdi and Mohammed Salim Al Shekaili of The Royal Army Band of Oman completed three weeks of tuition at The National Piping Centre and both successfully passed their Level 4 Certificates in piping and drumming. We wish them well and a safe journey home!

A recital featuring Pipe Major Gordon Walker is to be held at the Scots Guards Club, Haymarket, Edinburgh at 4pm on Sunday 13th December. Tickets are £10.00 and the ticket price includes a curry.
Following a popular revival in 2008, the College of Piping will again play host to the Echoes of Oban concert, a recital that celebrates the winning performances of this year’s Argyllshire Gathering.

The National Piping Centre has now confirmed its dates for its Seasonal Piping School Programme for 2010. These schools are a week long programme of intensive tuition. They are available at every level of playing from beginners through to advanced players. Prices start from £205 adult / £175 U16.
