Organisers: The Competing Pipers’ Association in partnership with the Argyllshire Gathering and the Northern Meeting.

Qualifying places available:
• The Argyllshire Gathering:  10 competition places; no reserve places.
• The Northern Meeting:        5 competition places; 5 reserve places

Eligibility:

As determined by the Joint Eligibility Meeting for the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting competitions, held on 28th February 2010. 

Competitors are registered applicants to the 2010 Silver Medal competitions at the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting who have not been awarded a reserved place and meet the following criteria:
• are CPA B graded pipers or above;
• and non CPA members determined eligible for the Silver Medal qualifier by the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting Joint Eligibility Committee.

Rules:
• Tune requirements for the Silver Medal as specified by the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting will be complied with.
• Tune submissions plus entry fee must be received by the CPA by 31st May 2010.  No late entries or payment will be accepted. Qualifiers will be notified when entries open.
• Changes to tunes will be accepted up to 31st July 2010.
• Qualifiers will carry forward the same tune submissions to the Silver Medal competitions at the Argyllshire Gathering and Northern Meeting.
• The order of play will be posted on the CPA website on 12th June and will be adhered to.  Competitors must be ready to play at their allotted slot.
• Competitors will be advised of the tune they will be asked to play one performance in advance of their own.
• Competitors shall compete in full highland dress.
• Tuning time will be limited to 4 mins.
• The judges may determine that the standard of the competition may merit a lesser number of qualifiers than places available.
• The judges’ decision is final.
