Greenville Games tune competition for Royal Guest of Honour
The Greenville Scottish Games in South Carolina is gearing up to welcome a royal guest to the event in May.
Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, will be attending the event and, apart from Braemar, it’s thought to be the first Highland games officially visited by a senior member of the royal family.
Up to 40 pipe bands will be involved in the celebrations on May 28 and 29 which include a Great Scot! parade and around 80 competitors battling it out in the games in front of a crowd of around 15,000.

Atlanta School – Online Booking Form now available
The Atlanta School has now been confirmed and the online booking form is now up. The venue has changed this year and it will be held at Kennesaw State University, 1000 Chastain Road, Kennesaw GA 30144 between 13th – 18th June 2010.

“A Suite For Alan” at the Duncan Johnstone Competition
“A Suite for Alan” is a suite for smallpipes, flute, whistle, and string orchestra written by Neil Johnstone, in honour of his father, the late Duncan Johnstone. This will be performed for the first time on conclusion of the Duncan Johnstone Memorial Competition at the National Piping Centre on Saturday 20th March. It is free to attend. Continue reading
Evening Classes Enrolments April 2010
Enrolments are now being taken for the new term of piping and drumming evening classes here at the National Piping Centre. The new term commences week beginning Saturday 24th April and runs for 10 weeks.
Enrolment Forms are currently available at the NPC reception or can be downloaded from the website by going to the Evening Classes Section.
