The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland will be touring Caithness and Orkney for the very first time on Friday 23rd ans Saturday 24th July. On Friday 23rd they will conduct workshops in Wick and Thurso for any young Piper of Drummer under the age of 25, as well as come and try sessions for anyone who thinks piping might be for them. That night they will perform their “Dragon’s Lair” Concert at the Wick Assembly Rooms. The concert starts at 7pm and tickets are £8/£6 and are available on the night. Continue reading

Summer School 1 28th June – 2nd July
The National Piping Centre Seasonal Schools will start again with Summer School 1 between 28th June – 2nd July. These are week long programmes of teaching with learning in small groups. They are a great way to meet new friends and immerse yourself in your piping studies for a week. Continue reading
Scots Guards Knockout – The Final!
Cameron Drummond and Kevin McNulty went head to head for the Final of the Scots Guards Knockout Competition in Edinburgh yesterday, Sunday 13th June. The competition was very close but Cameron Drummond was the winner after a close vote. So congratulations go to Cameron Drummond. The competition starts again in October, more info will be available here as we get it!
