Background

Colin MacLellan was born in Dingwall and brought up in Edinburgh, where he learned to play the bagpipes. He lived for a number of years in Canada, and has been a successful solo competitor, winning Gold Medals for Piobaireachd at the Argyllshire Gathering and the Northern Meeting. He now runs his own reed-making business and lives in Edinburgh.
