Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships 2018

Next year’s Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships take place on Sunday 11th Match at Inveralmond Community High School in Livingston.

The Championships offer a positive and friendly experience for players who are new to competition, as well a forum for bands at the very top of their game.

Schools need just four pipers in their midst, or three pipers and a tutor, to be able to enter a Quartet.  The Debut category offers a thrilling opportunity for new players to showcase their musical skills and to take home a prize.  A range of other categories, including the popular Freestyle competition, cater for bands competing at every level, all the way up to Juvenile where Scotland’s most skilled young players battle it out for the prizes.

To enter the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships, please visit https://thechampionships.org.uk. The deadline for entries is 26th January

The Championships are organised by the Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust. For more information about setting up, and funding, a pipe band in your school, please visit www.sspdt.org.uk
