Donald John MacIntyre is a native of South Uist. He served with the Queen’s Own Highlanders and the Highlanders, rising to the rank of Pipe Major. He now lives in Inverness and is the Director of Comann an Luchd Ionnsachaidh, Clì Gàidhlig, which aims to bring adult learners of Gaelic to fluency.
