Today’s celebration of Coming Out Day is a timely reminder of the challenges still faced by individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. When the Scottish Government announced that it would legalise same-sex marriage on 25 July 2012, and introduced new legislation a year later, it heralded a major milestone in the fight for equality here. However, despite how accepting society as a whole has become, there can still be particular challenges when planning your wedding day!
