Background: A native Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Skye, Graham was initially taught locally by the late Kenny Stoddart (whose son Norman is also the subject of an interview) and by the late Pipe Major Donald MacLean. After National Service with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, he joined the City of Glasgow Police (subsequently Strathclyde Police) and was a member of the successful Strathclyde Police Pipe Band of the 1980s.
