Outreach

The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland has travelled all over Scotland promoting piping and drumming by conducting its Educational Outreach Programme. The programme allows the band to bring its members to communities across Scotland to help teach and collaborate with other young aspiring pipers and drummers.

Since its inception the band has visited the areas below:

  • Aberdeen (Aberdeenshire)
  • Portree (Isle of Skye)
  • Kirkwall (Orkney Isles)
  • Wick (Caithness)
  • Thurso (Caithness)
  • Melrose (Scottish Borders)
  • Musselburgh (East Lothian)
  • Dingwall (Ross & Cromarty)
  • Selkirk (Dumfries & Galloway)
  • Stornoway (Lewis)
  • South Uist (Uist)
  • Perth (Perthshire)
  • Inverness (Highlands)
  • Castlebay (Isle of Barra)

In 2017, the band travel to the Inverness to conduct a 3 day summer camp and the Southwest region for a weekend workshop.
