Meet the Wedding Supplier - One Big Picture Photography
For 2020, we wanted to introduce you to some of our favourite Wedding Suppliers. They come in and work alongside us here to help create the ultimate wedding package for your big day. But we also asked them for advice about how you can get the right information from your wedding suppliers.
Our first "Meet the Supplier" is Marc from One Big Picture Photography. He has been working with us for many years and has created some beautiful wedding photography here. Read on for his blog...
Tell us a bit about yourself and your wedding services
Hey I’m Marc, smile maker at One Big Picture Photography. Let’s go on a little adventure, one where we get to know each other, explore the area we’re in and make some amazing memories to look back on! A fabulous day where you’re with the people you love most, get married in the middle and then party all day long. You’ll barely notice me as I capture every tiny detail.
How long have you been a wedding photographer, and working with us?
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2008 and have been fortunate to have worked for and alongside TNPC for at least the past 7 years. A fabulous team that will really look after you on your wedding day.
What has been your favourite wedding you have worked on here at The National Piping Centre and why?
Well, as much as I enjoy every wedding, my absolute favourite and the one I had most fun at TNPC was Andrew and Andrew’s wedding. Not only did their family and friends make me feel incredibly welcome, a special mention has to go to their bridesmaids as well as both Andrew and Andrew for just being so awesome and lots of fun to be around. We had such a laugh when we went down the side street for some photos, I could barely contain myself I was laughing so much. So. Much. Fun. (See the gallery below for some great images from this day!)
What are the best questions that a couple can ask you about their wedding photograpy?
You’re investing in me to capture your wedding day, so ask as many questions as you can think of, no matter how silly they may sound! I want you to feel reassured and I’ll do everything I can to remove any anxieties you may have about having your photo taken. But if I had to think of some questions you could/should ask, maybe ask how I reassure you, how do I know where to be and when and absolutely ask me to show you examples of weddings I’ve photographed in the past, including some full wedding galleries to look through.
What’s the best advice you have for future brides & grooms when planning their wedding?
My best piece of advice is something I was told for my own wedding day. Throughout your day, especially after you’re married, take yourselves away for five minutes here and there and just take it all in together. You’ll be amazed how much of your day you’ll forget about. Sounds silly, but it’s so true.
