Keep your wedding green : part 2
We are keeping it green whilst world leaders meet for COP26 here in Glasgow so here are a few more tips on how to keep your ceremony as sustainable as possible!
Choose an eco friendly wedding venue
If the weather is in your favour or in the summer months, opt for the majority of the wedding to be outdoors so you save using electricity and heating. If not, find venues that do what they can to be green and lower their carbon emissions.
Use sustainable materials for parts of your ring
Find a jeweller that are socially responsible and use ethically sourced materials to make the engagement rings and wedding rings. Lab-created stones are less likely to harm the environment according to some experts while still achieving that beautiful jewel so many want when it comes to the rings.
Cut down the number of printed items to have
Forget name cards, dining seat charts and more. Go digital with all this information on a wedding website you can set up to give your guests all the details they can easily store in their phones and have access at any point before and on the big day.
Make your own eco friendly wedding favours
Use recyclable confetti for your guests to throw over you or even bird seed or plant seeds to ensure everyone is giving a bit of TLC to nature! And any favours that come in packaging try and source some zero plastic and recyclable materials for those too.
