What to do shortly after you get engaged
It's an exciting moment in your life - they day you and your significant other get engaged! Heres a things to check off the list shortly after the question is popped!
Make sure the important people know before the world does.
If your parents were not aware that a proposal was about to happen, let those closest to you know that your engaged whether its a face to face meeting or phonemail, they will appreciate knowing you thought of them before telling your social media followers.
Have the ring sized properly.
Whoever popped the question, may have guessed what size the ring, so make sure you get it to fit properly so theres no chance of it slipping off. Consider insuring it too for that extra peace of mind.
Start thinking about the main wedding details!
First comes engagement and then comes marriage. Start to think about what season you want to get married in, what venues you like, the guest list and what wedding themes you like and start creating a list of details you need to organise, like flowers, what you will wear, cake and more.
Enjoy being newly engaged
There can be so much to plan, think about and discuss once you are engaged as its the sort of ‘signal’ to get married within whatever time frame you have. This is all great but make sure you just enjoy being fiancés first and foremost and the whole experience it brings. Its something you may only experience once so appreciate and enjoy this time with your partner before the planning begins!
