The National Piping Centre is seeking a Head of Youth and Communities to lead our youth and community programmes, including the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland, Piping Clubs, and access and inclusion initiatives.
This senior role will drive creativity, participation, and equity across Scotland – developing opportunities for young people and communities to engage with piping and traditional music. You’ll manage staff, budgets, and partnerships, oversee the Tattoo Traditional Arts Programme, and help shape the future of youth music at a world-class cultural institution.

We’re looking for an experienced leader with a passion for traditional music, strong management and communication skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Piping Club Tutors: Leith
This role offers the chance to contribute to an inclusive and supportive teaching environment, helping young learners develop their piping in small group settings.
Sessions will take place on Saturdays
Location is yet to be confirmed, but will be in the heart of Leith
Focus on individual progress, group learning anf musical engagement
