Iain MacDonald was born, the youngest of three brothers, in the Gaelic speaking community of Glenuig. He was educated at Queen Victoria School Dunblane, where he was taught to play the bagpipes by Pipe Major John MacKenzie. He has long been involved in folk music, and now lives in Benbecula.Publisher
